I saw this movie twice this weekend. I cried laughing on both screenings.

The movie adaptation of "the greatest tall-tale ever told" snuck up on to me. I saw the trailer back when it appeared on the apple trailers site.
At the time I didn't expect much out of it since I had a not so pleasant experience through the other two films by Sony Pictures (Open Season, Surf's Up). Those were both 'meh' for me, nice animation, good use of texture, etc. But the story was really weak in both.

So I went on a date to the theater and since nothing else was on that we found interesting or haven't seen already, we opted for the animation flick since we are both animation students. And well, we were surprised to come out of it laughing and commenting on little details, jokes and 'inside'jokes.

Not only was the animation a leap back in time to the times of Tex Avery, back when animation was cartoony, comical and overly exagerated, it was a really nice treat visually. And, I mean, the movie start with glowing titles of which one reads "A production by a lot of people" (which in the spanish dub was funnier because of the dramatic voice reading it) or something like that.

Funny, funny, funny. I'm sure you'll laugh when you see the FLDSMDFR, as well some other things later in the movie.
I haven't seen it in english, and I want to desperatedly, but still I'm sure the comedy still holds then, so I recommend everyone just watch this as it is very decent.

ANYWAYS, I'm off again.

Thanks for the favourite, and for the title suggestion, sorry there's no prize, but if there was, you'd win it!
